I’m donating a portion of the profits from my print and license sales to organizations that are meaningful to me and helpful to the protection of our natural lands or societal well-being. This program is in its infancy, so I expect it to change and grow. Right now, I will choose the organizations by the individual gallery and the donation will be a percentage of the profit from the sale.
Sierra Club Foundation
The first foundation I am supporting is the Sierra Club Foundation. Ten percent of profits from sales of photos in my Water and Ice Gallery will be donated to the Sierra Club every quarter.
The Sierra Club Foundation promotes climate solutions, conservation, and movement building through a powerful combination of strategic philanthropy and grassroots advocacy. The Foundation is the fiscal sponsor of Sierra Club’s charitable environmental programs.
I’ll post more updates in the coming weeks as I update this program. Thank you for your support!
Alaska SeaLife Center
I’ll be donating 20% of profits from sales of prints and licenses from my Alaska Marine Life Gallery to the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward.
The Alaska SeaLife Center generates and shares scientific knowledge to promote understanding and stewardship of Alaska’s marine ecosystems. While primarily dedicated to marine research, the Center is the only permanent facility permitted to rescue and rehabilitate marine mammals and birds, and is the only public aquarium in the state of Alaska. The Alaska SeaLife Center is located on the shores of Resurrection Bay in beautiful Seward, Alaska. The facility is open year-round.
